DAILY SCHEDULE TODDLER ONE


6:30-8:00              Greeting Children
Self-selected activity together with infant room for early arrivals.  Move to own group as teachers arrive and are ready for children.

8:00-9:00              AM Snack
Set up, hand washing, eating, clean-up
Cereal with milk (M-Th), Bagels, Muffins, or French Toast (F)

9:00-9:30              Free Play (self selected)
Blocks, books, kitchen, ball pit, dolls, stacking toys, pull/push
toys, etc.

9:30-10:00            Outside Play
Large motor activities: climbing, running, riding toys, sand play, balls, etc.

10:00-10:1            Circle Time (social and cognitive stimulation)
Stories, finger plays, rhythms and songs, flashcards, games, etc.

10:15-10:30           Group Activity (social and cognitive stimulation)
Teacher selected activity: puzzles, building with blocks, balls,
games, bubbles, etc.

10:30-11:15           Free Play  (self selected)
Blocks, books, kitchen corner, ball pit, dolls, stacking toys, pull/push toys, etc.

11:30-12:00           Lunch (family style meal service)
Opportunity for self-help activities such as: drinking from a cup and using a spoon.  Helps develop good eating and nutrition habits.
Set up, hand washing, eating, hand washing, preparing for nap

 12:00-2:00           Nap time

2:00-2:30            Self Help
Dressing, washing hands and face, using a spoon, drinking from a cup etc.

2:30-3:00            PM Snack
                             Set up, hand washing, eating, clean-up

3:00-3:30            Fine/Gross Motor  
Building towers with blocks, roll balls, pound playdough, turning pages of books, ball pit, stacking toys, pull/push toys, scribbling w/ crayons, etc.

3:30-4:00            Outside Play
Large motor activities: climbing, running, riding toys, sand play, balls, etc.

4:00-4:30            Art/ Theme Related Activity
Painting with different items, on different surfaces and with different materials, finger painting, crayons, gluing, markers, video etc.

4:30-5:00            Sensory Motor/Dramatic Play
Dramatic Play: Baby care, house corner, doctor, dress-up, tea-party, etc.
Sensory Motor:  Painting, water play, sand play, mess trays, plastic tubs with different materials, playdoughs and clays, etc.

5:00-6:30            Departure Time
Grouped with infants as children go home.
Special projects, Free play
