11:30- 12:00 M/W/F - Spanish
Worksheets, music, activities, games, and stories
T/TH - Library/Media Room
Books and audio books, puzzles, computer, Wii, movie day on Fridays etc.
12:00-12:30 Lunch (family style meal service)
Opportunity to develop good eating and nutrition habits, share experiences and thoughts in conversation.
12:30-1:30 Homework, Language, Math
Children complete their homework from public school
If they do not have any homework they will work on a learning activity such as worksheets, flash and sequence cards, writing skills, etc.
1:30-2:00 Hooked on Phonics
The children practice their reading skills with tapes, computer CD’s, books, and worksheets
2:00-2:30 Quiet Time
Children are encouraged to take this time to rest and do a quiet activity such as puzzles, reading a book, or coloring
2:30-3:00 PM Snack
Set up, hand washing, eating, clean up
Snack may include: applesauce, crackers w/cheese, cookies, pretzels, chez its, special snack project, etc
3:00-3:30 Art/Theme Related Activities
Art activities are usually based on the weekly themes
A great opportunity for the children to strengthen their fine motor skills
3:30-4:00 Outside Play
Large motor activities: running, climbing, jumping, bikes, sand play, balls, etc.
4:00-4:3 M/W/F - Library/Media Room
Books and audio books, puzzles, computer, Wii, movie day on Fridays etc.
T/Th - Spanish
Worksheets, music, activities, games, and stories
4:30-5:00 Centers/Computers
(Small groups play) House, art, science, computers, library, blocks,
5:00-5:30 Games/ Table Toys
Board games, bingo, Jenga, legos, lincoln logs, geo-boards, pegs and peg boards, etc.
5:30-6:30 Departure Time
Multi-age groups as children go home
Special projects, outdoor play, choose your own activity |
